Headquartered in Manhattan, Nili Lotan’s Tribeca studio which houses her office and atelier is located on Duane Street, a few blocks from her flagship retail store location. "I've always dreamed of an in-house atelier like the couture houses in Paris," says Nili Lotan of her 8-person atelier, where tailors in classic white coats make the prototypes for each collection.
“When I started my brand, having my home, my daughter’s school, my studio, and my store all in the same neighborhood was helpful in balancing my responsibilities, both as a single mom and in running my business. Living and working in Tribeca allowed me and my daughter to share a sense of community—we felt it at home, at the store, and at school. By now, my atelier has moved spaces a couple times, but I’ve always remained in Tribeca.” — Nili Lotan
It is increasingly rare for an American brand to have an in-house atelier, but it’s something Nili has always been passionate about. The Atelier has been instrumental in Nili’s ability to create and fit all samples from the comfort of her studio, and many of the sewers have been working with her for over a decade.
