Location 1: Serre dei Giardini Margherita

“Located near Bologna’s city center, you will find this little blooming paradise where you can sit amongst a vegetable garden, honeybees, trees and flowers. Nature is in balance with culture and sustainability. The calming, green environment is good for your soul and Serre offers healthy food like gluten free muffins, fresh pressed juices and of course, vegetables fresh from the garden. It is a place of happiness and well-being.”

Location 2: Restaurante Drogheria Della Rosa

“This is one of my favorite Restaurants in Bologna. If you want to experience authentic Italian love for food and people, this is the right spot. Sitting under Bologna’s famous arcades, you are constantly surrounded by the owner of the restaurant’s loving energy while he pops bottles for you – sometimes as a gift. Emanuel (the owner) always shares a kiss and a drink with someone at the restaurant while talking about wild stories from the past, and if he has one glass too many, he starts singing. Everyone loves his energy. It is pure joy. Every time I go to this place it feels like home, and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu because every dish is amazing. Some of my favorite dishes are the Tortellini al Brodo, Tagliata di Manzo and of course the classic Tagliatelle al Ragu.”

Location 3: Mercatino Antiquariato Santo Stefano

“On weekends, you have to go to Piazza Santo Stefano to check out the beautiful, small flea market where you will mostly find valuable antique pieces such as necklaces from the 18th century, old original paintings, furniture and much more. It is located between restaurants and bars, directly in front of Basilica di Santo Stefano.”
